Hi Everyone,

Barbara and I just got back from doing the Ironman in Lake Placid and we both had a wonderful day. The Saturday rain made us more nervous about the race but the weather turned out beautiful for race day. We both beat our previous times so...we're sitting pretty with a couple of PR's. Barbara was nervous about finishing because she's been battling plantar facitis but....she finished and in record time.

I came in 3rd in my age group(55-59). I asked #1 if she was going to take the spot to Kona and she said "this is my first Ironman. I think I'll wait a few more years". I asked #2 and she said she already had a spot then asked me " Do you want to go?" I said "YES" and she said "This is your lucky day!"

I'M GOING TO KONA!

Thanks to all the Front Runners who were up there cheering us on. My picture made the Lake Placid results newspaper and it show the Triton race shirt. I've got to get a good copy to send to you guys.
