Tritons have been sighted at races all over the United States, Canada, Europe and Australia. Team members help each other train hard, train smart and have a great time reaching our goals, and provide a supportive environment for each other as gay and lesbian athletes within the sport of triathlon.
While our primary focus is the LGBT community, our membership is open to everyone who is interested in training and racing with us. If you're interested in multisport -- duathlon, triathlon or adventure racing -- either as an individual or as part of a relay team, give the Tritons a try!
The New York Tritons is an organization serving multisport athletes in the New York tri-state area. The primary mission of the group is to promote diversity in the multisport community and provide a supportive atmosphere for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered athletes to achieve their goals in triathlons, duathlons, adventure races and related activities.
While the main focus is to serve the GLBT community, membership is open to everyone who is interested in training and racing with the group, and there is a strong commitment to making multisport more accessible to people of all backgrounds, races and cultures.
